Chrysler Employee Kills Co-Worker then Commits Suicide, Automaker Idles Down Jefferson North Plant

In a developing story, authorities say a Chrysler employee fatally stabbed a male co-worker at the Detroit company's Jefferson North assembly plant at around8 a.m. Thursday.

Detroit police Sgt. Alan Quinn told reporters that the suspect fled the factory and then committed suicide at the Belle Isle Park. The unnamed man is said to have died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Chrysler confirmed the incident in a short press statement:"Two employees were involved in an altercation inside the plant. One employee was stabbed and unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene. The Detroit Police Department is currently investigating."

Jeep to Display Special Edition Versions of Grand Cherokee, Wrangler and Compass in Paris

In view of the lack of any new production or concept models, Jeep's stand at this year's Paris Motor Show will be occupied by the European premieres of three special edition versions, all of which have already been presented in North America.

The most impressive of the three is no doubt the Grand Cherokee SRT Limited Edition available exclusively in a Bright White finish with blacked-out exterior details and Gloss-Black and chromed 20-inch alloy wheels.

Jeep Driver Uses Sidewalk to Bypass School Bus Only to Find a Cop on the Other Side…

We guess you could say justice was served in the case of 32-year-old Shena Hardin, of Cleveland, who reportedly had the bad habit of using the sidewalk whenever she saw a school bus to avoid waiting for the children to exit or enter the vehicle.

After seeing the same thing happening over and over again, a Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) bus driver decided to take matters in his own hands by calling the police to capture the woman red handed.

Sure enough, Hardin appeared with her silver-colored Jeep Compass and jumped on the sidewalk to go around the bus. Only this time, a patrol car was waiting for her just around the corner…

Jeep Introduces New Grand Cherokee Trailhawk and Wrangler Moab Special Editions

A pair of new special edition models equipped with accessories for off-road enthusiasts, the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk and Wrangler Moab, have been added to the Jeep brand's lineup.

The first model is the production version of the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk Concept shown last Spring. Offered with both a V6 or V8, the Trailhawk comes equipped with several capability-enhancing features.

The seats have gone black with Call of Duty badges stitched on, the serial number written on the dashboard, unique gauge cluster graphics, and a rear cargo mat with the MW3 logo. The leather-wrapped steering wheel is equipped audio controls.

   Interior got Call of Duty abundant logo: a black seat, dash, grab the handle, which Mats Mopar slush mats and rear cargo. This is a tie-in both the Jeep with Activision Call Duty franchise, and said a special brand of fantasy brawler final issue is to sell-out.

   Exterior :
   This particular model is spun from the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and Rubicon wheels on a semi-gloss black. The exterior is getting either black or bright silver paint, accented with Call of Duty: MW3 Special Edition graphics on the front fenders and spare tire cover. Other items include a special "power dome" hood and Mopar accessories, including winch-ready front bumper, rock rails, taillamp guards and fuel filler door. Options include Warn winch, 2-inch lift kit and five-spoke wheels. The cabin gets Call of Duty and the logo of a serialized dash plaque.

   Special to this model is the Call of Duty logos are exposed in almost every part of the car. On the exterior, you’ll find Call of Duty logos fitted on the front bumpers and on the tires cover. What’s different from the Rubicon is the exterior color. Rubicon comes in semi-gloss black, but the Wrangler MW3 is finished in bright silver. The hood is now outfitted with the sculpted Mopar Power-Dome Hood to give a sneak to the powerful engine under the hood. This sophisticated design is first ever for the Wrangler line up. The Mopar also composes the front and rear bumpers that gives them super-tough performance.

The transmission comes in two options, the 6-speed manual and 5-speed automatic transmission. The fuel efficiency is estimated 16 mpg city/21 mpg highway.
