Unless you have been living in a different planet for the past few months, you have probably heard, seen and perhaps some of you have even secretly tried to do the invisible horse dance featured in the wildly popular music clip "Gangman Style" from South Korean rapper PSY – if you haven't, fear not, you can find the video after the jump.

With the music clip having been viewed more than 212 million times as of today, September 18, PSY's latest song has become an internet sensation, something that didn't go unnoticed by Hyundai Motors.

Even though the official video stars a Mercedes-Benz SLK roadster, South Korea's biggest automaker is attempting to position itself near PSY and his "Gangman Style" hit with a photo post on Facebook that shows the 34-year old singer leaning against a California license-plated Equus sedan with a "Swag-o-meter" positioned right beside it.

With its sights heavily set on increasing its footprint in the growing Brazilian market, Hyundai lifted the covers off a new model named HB20 (HB stands for 'Hyundai Brazil'), with which it will enter the biggest and most competitive segment in the country’s car market.

The HB20 was not only designed for Brazil but it will also be the first model to be produced at Hyundai’s fully-owned new plant in Piracicaba, located in the Brazilian state of São Paulo. Production of the sub-compact hatch will begin on September 20, while sales will start in early October.

"For Hyundai, the launch of HB20 means a lot more than simply presenting a new model. Unlike our other models currently offered in Brazil, HB20 is the first model strategically developed and produced exclusively for the Brazilian market," said Chang Kyun Han, President of Hyundai Motors Brazil.

Having many cars on the parking lot and little or no customers is any dealer’s nightmare. On the other hand, not having enough cars to satisfy the clients that walk into your dealership is something of a problem, too.

2012 LA Auto Show Challenges Car Designers to Envision the Patrol Vehicle of 2025

Mike Lowery, the character Will Smith plays in Bad Boys I and II, is probably the action-movie cop that drives the best cars.

One can hardly argue that a Porsche 911 Turbo and a Ferrari 575 M sharing scenes with director Michael Bay’s personal 550 Maranello, beats a Crown Vic Interceptor or what-have-you any given day and twice on Sundays as a means of transportation for law enforcement officers.

Granted, this is a fictional character and the aforementioned cars are his own, rather than standard-issue patrol cars. Moreover, Don Johnson predated him with his Ferrari Daytona Spyder and subsequently, the Testarossa in Miami Vice.

rsstou | 13:27 | 0 comments

During July and August, the labor union at Hyundai’s South Korean plants staged a series of partial strikes over pay issues and working conditions.

It was the first strike in four years and a major setback as it cost the Korean carmaker $1.4 billion in production losses. This makes it the second-costliest strike in the company's history.

Today, however, Hyundai announced that it has reached a tentative wage deal with the labor union leaders and thus, end the strike and resume normal production.
